Why Missions Matter

“The future of the Church in Europe will not be built by maintaining structures, but by forming missionary disciples.”

A Generation Ready to Respond

Despite the challenges, many young people are longing to live with deeper purpose. They want to serve. They want to give. They want to go.

“I thought mission was only for faraway lands. Now I know: Europe is my mission field.”

But without clear pathways, formation, or support, most never take the first step.

The Church Needs New Witnesses

The Church is entering a new chapter in history. Structures alone will not sustain it. It needs missionary disciples—men and women formed, sent, and filled with the Holy Spirit.

“The laity are called to make the Church present and operative in those places and circumstances where only through them it can become the salt of the earth.”

Lay mission is not optional—it’s essential. The time to equip and send is now.

This is why Missions matter

Because the Gospel still changes lives
Every generation needs a fresh encounter with Jesus Christ. His message still heals wounds, gives purpose, and transforms hearts today—just as it did 2,000 years ago.
١
Because young people are searching for more
In a world full of noise, distraction, and disillusionment, young people are craving meaning, community, and mission. Many are ready to give their lives to something that matters.
٢
Because Europe needs hope
Beneath its secular surface, Europe is spiritually hungry. The Church is being called to rise again—not with structures, but with witnesses rooted in faith and love.
٣
And because you might be one of those called to go
That longing you feel for something deeper? It might not be a coincidence. God may be inviting you to take a step into full-time mission. The question is: will you say yes?
